Julia Ohanyan
Julia Ohanyan is the talent manager for the Doris Duke Foundation. In this capacity, she oversees talent management strategies, including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, staff engagement and professional development programs.
Prior to joining the foundation, Ohanyan was the senior recruitment officer at Human Rights Watch. She started at Human Rights Watch in 2018, where she oversaw the internship and fellowship programs, updating the internship policy from a fully unpaid program to one that provided stipends or hourly wages to all global interns. She was promoted to recruitment officer in 2022, where she facilitated full-cycle recruitment for operations, development and media staff globally, and enhanced the recruitment process and onboarding systems. During her time at Human Rights Watch, she was also a member of the Organizational Well-being Taskforce.
Ohanyan holds a master’s degree in public administration from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in international studies and history from Elon University.
