The Hollywood Reporter published an exclusive about the Doris Duke Foundation’s (DDF) $6 million commitment to support U.S. Muslim storytellers, announced by DDF President and CEO Sam Gill and Zeyba Rahman, director of the Building Bridges Program, at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival's Muslim House™. The funding, which aims to combat ongoing hate against U.S. Muslims, Asians, communities of color and Jewish people through uplifting diverse voices in the entertainment industry, will be allocated to three initiatives: $4.5 million for the U.S. Muslim Documentary Fund; $1.425 million to the Muslim Public Affairs Council’s Hollywood Bureau for festival activations and convenings, like its Muslim House™; and $100,000 to The Islamic Scholarship Fund for a fellowship program for entry-level U.S. Muslim creatives.
