To research, assess and publish its findings about the current knowledge, sources of information, and skills of childcare staff in areas related to preventing child maltreatment and promoting the healthy development of pre-school children, and to update its position statement on child abuse and neglect and devise new communication vehicles for increasing the statement's impact and utility for the field.
