To support the research project entitled "Preventing Child Maltreatment through Early Educational Intervention," which will further examine the Chicago Longitudinal Study's finding that participation in an early education intervention was associated with a 52% lower rate of substantiated child maltreatment to better understand how program participation leads to lower rates of maltreatment; disseminate knowledge about the impact of the intervention to policymakers and practitioners; and conduct economic analysis of the benefits of preventing child maltreatment.
