Grantmaking Process
The Doris Duke Foundation awards grants through a variety of processes, including foundation-initiated invitations to apply, regranting competitions that are administered by intermediary organizations and open competitions that are run by DDF staff using request-for-proposal and peer-review processes. Occasionally, the foundation also supports small, opportunistic grants that are more broadly related to the programs' missions.
